LINDA JANE (GIBSON) HILE.  Age 79, on April 28, 2017 in her home in Naples, Florida, formerly of Scott Township.  Linda was the beloved wife of John Hile for 54 years until his passing on March 8; cherished mother of Lorrie (Michael) Dunlap of Naples, Florida and Cheryl (David) Mitchell of Zelienople, Pennsylvania; adoring and proud grandmother to Grace and Megan Mitchell; aunt to Mary Beth and Henry Hile; sister to Laurel (Don) Sedlacko of Greensburg, Pennsylvania; and daughter to the late Clyde and Clara (Webb) Gibson.  Linda was born September 8, 1937 and spent her life in the Pittsburgh area until moving to Naples in 2015.  She graduated from Allderdice High School in 1955 and met the love of her life, John, at YAP (Young Adults of Pittsburgh).  They married in 1962 and Linda became a dedicated mother and homemaker while raising their two daughters.  Her faith was always important and she was involved in church activities throughout her lifetime.  She was blessed with a beautiful voice and started singing in the church choir as soon as she was old enough. She was an avid reader, loved animals and spent precious hours tending her treasured garden.  Linda often reflected on her many happy memories of time spent with family and friends and her kitty “Salty”, and we will truly miss her.  Linda will be laid to rest next to John in Forest Lawn Gardens in McMurray, PA.  At her request, there will be no visitation, but a celebration of John and Linda’s life will be held at Mt. Lebanon Evangelical Presbyterian Church on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 11:30.  In lieu of flowers, donations to The American Diabetes Association or Animal Friends would be greatly appreciated.
