Lois Jean Domaracki

Lois Jean Domaracki (Meyers) 92, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on November 26, 2023.

Lois was born to Guy Francis Cox Meyers and Lillian Louise Chalfant on May 10, 1931, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  One of six children, Lois was raised in the neighborhoods of Oakland and Shadyside where one day, while working at Roger’s Dairy, she met a young man (Joseph) who soon became her loving husband for more than 70 years.  Lois is survived by her five children (Joseph, Donna, Diane, Guy, and Greg) 10 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Lois was a devout Catholic, always focused on family, and was dedicated to raising children and managing a household. In many ways, Lois embodied the role of a homemaker and housewife.  Outside the home, Lois worked for Kaufman’s department store for 20 years, enjoyed childhood friendships through a monthly card club, participated in neighborhood bowling leagues, attended many Johnny Mathis concerts, and traveled on annual ‘double date’ trips with her sister to Las Vegas spending hours at the penny slot machines.  Lois also developed a talent for crocheting and needlepoint creating countless special gifts for family and friends.

Lois had a memorable way of giving and making every family Christmas better than the one before.  Another way of showing how much she enjoyed being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Family and Friends are welcome on Monday, December 11, 2023, for a gathering at 11 am, a blessing service will begin at 11:30 am at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317.  A Christian committal service will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetary, 2900 Washington Road, Canonsburg, PA 15317.
