“A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.”

-Washington Irving

Lula Petousis Mathews, of Canonsburg, PA passed away battling cancer at age 78, on June 8, 2022. She was born on November 11, 1943 to the late Ann and George Petousis. Dear Harry, Patricia and Russell and Families, We were very sorry that we could not attend the visitation and funeral for Lula, your beautiful sister and mother. We had been friends with Lula many years ago, when we were all much younger at the old Holy Cross Church. We offer our deepest sympathy for such a very sad loss for your family. May our Lord offer you much comfort at this difficult time. And we are praying for her memory to be eternal in God's heavenly Kingdom. Blessings, Damon and Carol Halkias
