Marian E. Kuisis, age 84, of Scott Township passed away peacefully on April 17, 2020 with family by her side. Born on March 7, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elsie Demsher.  She was the beloved wife of Andrew “Jim” Kuisis for over 56 years; loving mother of Joseph (Roaine) Kuisis and Andrea (Scott) Hobbs; cherished grandmother of Lauren and Emily Hobbs; dear sister of Donald (Jackie) Demsher; also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear lifelong friends.

Marian started her career as an executive asst. at PPG Industries, then spent over 20 years assisting with operations of Demsher’s Bar & Lounge (Jim & Jerry’s) in Bridgeville, PA.  She was passionately involved in the SNPJ Slovenian Fraternal organization, enjoyed times at the SNPJ campsite, loved polka music/dances, bowling, baking nut-rolls “potica”, and camping and vacationing with family & friends. Her most cherished memories were having and spending time with her granddaughters.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

I have many wonderful memories of time spent with Marian in Charlotte when she and Jim visited with Andrea and Scott. She always brought delicious baked goods and prepared wonderful meals. She had a special gift of making you feel like she had know you forever.

Sending my sincere sympathy to Marian's family. I had the pleasure of working with Marian at a card-gift shop in Bridgeville years ago. She was such a sweet, caring and sincere person. I enjoyed her friendship and the time I spent working with her. May your memories bring you comfort and peace.
