Marilyn J. Zimmer, age 87, of Bethel Park, formerly of Erie, PA, passed away peacefully with family by her side on February 11, 2024.

Born on April 6, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Virginia Hershiser.

Beloved wife of the late Ray Zimmer, whom she was married to for 66 years; loving mother of Terri (Bob) Holman, Ray “Kip” Zimmer, Betsy (Mike) Ashton; cherished Grandma, Nana and Gigi of Traci (Scott) Geller, Jamie Holman, Joshua Zimmer, Kaitlyn Arnold, Bryan (Hema) Ashton, Ben Ashton and great grandchildren, Landyn, Addison, and Veena; dear sister of David Hershiser and the late Vicki Hershiser; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Marilyn showed her love for her family, through her thoughtfulness and creativity. She loved the beach and collecting shells. But most of all she enjoyed creating special memories with her family.

She sold real estate for Century 21 for many years. Later she founded her own business, Around Again in McMurray. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are welcome on Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 5-8 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546. Burial at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies will take place on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made the Alzheimers Association at alz.org in memory of her late husband.
