Marjorie S. Engel-Kraus

Marjorie S. Engel-Kraus, age 95, of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2023.

Born In Pittsburgh on May 4, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Sarah and William McKeever.

Loving mother of Sara (Bero) Harari, William (Christine) Engel, Michael (Denise) Engel and the late Jeffrey Engel; grandmother of Keith (Tali),  Aleza (Shmuly), Sabrina (Levi), Levi, Nicholas, Jonathan, Emily, and Natalie and 11 great grandchildren;  Dear sister of Richard (the late Joannie) McKeever; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Margie was preceded in death by her husbands, James T. Engel, and Lloyd E. Kraus.

Margie was an incredible woman who was blessed to have many vital roles in life: wife, mother, grandmother, successful businessperson, and trusted friend to many.   She was a caretaker at heart, always ready to volunteer and help anyone in need.  Never one to shy away from an adventure, Margie would spontaneously and happily load her kids into her Vista Cruiser Station Wagon and head to the beach or to the lake house. Her love of travel took her to many parts of the world,  and her most cherished trip was to Ireland where she researched her Irish heritage. Margie was deeply faithful, an avid golfer and keenly fashionable! Her sense of humor, her compassion for others and her ever-present smile will be missed by all who knew her.

Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, from 2-7 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546. Burial will take place at Queen of Heaven Cemetery on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 11 am.
