Mary Alice Kamphaus, age 65 of McMurray, PA passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. She was born in Pittsburgh September 19, 1954 and is the daughter of the late John and Clara Laeng.

Beloved wife of David L. Kamphaus; loving mother of Jeanna (David) Kraemer, Alexa Kamphaus and Robin (William) Amend; adoring grandmother of Nathan, Grace, Sofia and Aloysius; sister of John “Tom” (Dianne) Laeng and Richard (Jeanne) Laeng.

Alice was a member of the West Liberty University Chi Omega sorority. Burial will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a later date. I am so sad to read of Alice’s passing. We worked together at PTSD Middle School, and she was so good at her job. She helped countless children over the years and was always supportive, creative and full of energy. We had a friendship outside of school and she was a beautiful person. I extend my sympathy and prayers to Dave. Jeanna, Lexie and Robin and their families.

I will miss Alice tremendously! We spent so much time together, cruising, pool days, get always and always laughing. We had many longs conversations about our families and I visited every home she lived in, Florida, Uniontown,Shaler, and Peters Township(2). We were truly sisters and I will miss her smiling face and infectious laughter. My sincere and deepest sympathy to her entire family!
