My condolences to the family of Mary Alice. We were classmates at Shaler where she was Head Cheerleader. Her smile was contagious and her personality a magnet. We attended the prom together and I've thought of her with kindness over the years. She leaves far too soon.

My deepest and sincerest sympathies to the entire family of my cherished childhood friend. I am so sad to hear of her passing. We had many, MANY adventures as little kids and teens....being "neighbors" and close family friends. Everything from vacations to everyday escapades. I dearly loved her! Memories will never fade. Rest in peace and we will meet again Mary Alice!

To the family of Mrs. Kampaus please accept our deepest condolences and know that she truly touched my son, Harrison Brown, a senior at South Fayette High School. I first met her when Harrison was in Children’s Hospital receiving treatment for Hodgkins Lymphoma his junior year. I had stopped at the school to pay/select his parking spot. If you knew Harrison, and his love for his car, you’d understand why it was important for me to leave him and go to reserve his spot. That’s when I met your Mom. She greeted me with such a warm smile and genuine concern for Harrison’s health that put my frazzled mind at ease. She then reached in her drawer and said she had been saving this corner “primo” spot just for him as he had missed the original sign up. After saying our goodbyes, I drove to take a picture of the spot along with the parking pass she gave me and sent it to my son in the hospital. His response was “that spot is so SWEET! Mrs. Kampaus really took care of me!” For a moment I could see him smiling which he hadn’t done for quite a while. When he finally returned to school months later, he couldn’t wait to stop at her desk and give her a big hug and thank you! I am sure you are all aware of what a genuine, caring and compassionate person she was, but I wanted to let you know how that one simple gesture had such a positive impact on Harrison’s junior and senior year. She will be greatly missed and we were all saddened to hear of her passing.

Dave, Jeanna, and Lexie, and Robyn, You are all in my prayers. I am so sorry for your loss. I know she is comfortable now. But you are grieving and missing her. I am sorry we can’t get together at this time to give you hugs and remember her life, but we are doing those things from where we are. With love and many condolences, Amy
