Sarah Anne Soff, age 19, of Peters Township, Pennsylvania was called home by Our Father as a result of a car accident on Saturday, November 18, 2017.  Sarah was a 2017 graduate of Peters Township High School and was a freshman in the Nursing program at Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she was pursuing her dream of becoming a nurse and eventually a Pediatric Oncologist.

Sarah had a soul that knew no bounds, and the love she had was endless.  Sarah loved traveling, learning, working, picking sunflowers, watching sunsets and most of all spending time with her family and friends.  Her love for them was everlasting.  Sarah had a contagious smile, and always lived life to the fullest.  She touched the hearts of every person she met and was always committed to helping people in any way she could.  Even in death she continues to take care of others via the CORE organ donation program, through which she helped save the lives of several people on the transplant list.

Sarah is survived by her loving family, parents Steve and Georgia; siblings Christina, Michael, and Ava; grandparents Tom and Aggie Ritchey, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  She is also survived by her “Janis Drive neighborhood family” and her “work families” at Simmons Farm and at Justice, and by her many circles of friends.

A memorial mass will be held Friday, December 29, 2017 at 10 AM at St. Benedict the Abbot Catholic Church, 120 Abington Dr., McMurray, PA 15317.

I was given the opportunity to get to know Sarah a little while at IUP being that we bonded over our shared name and history with having loved cheerleading. She will be missed as I was beginning to make a wonderful friend with such vibrant energy. She will never be forgotten.

We are so saddened by your loss! It was such a pleasure knowing Sarah and Kristin has such fond memories of her! It is so difficult to understand this tragedy. We pray that your Trust In The Lord and strong faith will help you to get through this. May you and your family be filled with the peace that only Our God can give to you knowing that Sarah is in his loving embrace. With Much Love and Blessings, Paul, Pam, Marc and Kristin Slomiany

Dear Georgia and Family, My deepest sympathies for the terrible loss of your lovely daughter. May God and friends and family give you some measure of comfort over the coming days, weeks and months. I saw this in a client's office a few weeks ago about grief and thought it fitting. A Sacred Sadness Grief is neither a problem to be solved nor a difficulty to overcome. It is a sacred expression of love. And may God bless you all for being selfless enough to let Sarah's death bring life to others through organ donation. Beth Anne Jackson

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Sarah's death. I want to extend my deepest condolences for your loss. She was such a bright and lovely young woman, and a good student. I didn't know her well as I only had her in class this fall, but I am deeply saddened to learn of her tragic death as were the other students in my class. With great sympathy.
