Shirley Jean Megella Skwarcha, age 89, joined her heavenly family on November 6, 2020.  Shirley was born September 3, 1931. She recently resided in Plano, Texas, but was a longtime resident of Robinson Township.   She was the wife of the late Frank Skwarcha and was preceded in death by her late daughter Lynne Stanfield, sister Cynthia Mustari, and grandson Nathan Staskowicz.  She is survived by her children Sharon (Jack) Staskowicz, Jill (Joseph) Wokutch, Jan Stevenson and Terry (late Barbara) Skwarcha; grandmother of Blaine, Abigail, Emily, Victoria, Sasha, Daniel and Katherine; great-grandmother of Adam, Aiden, Brady, Carley and Emma; and aunt to Paul Mustari, Judyn Rengers, Tom and Greg Bundy.

Shirley enjoyed being with her family and loved to travel internationally with her dear friend Peggy Shimer. She was a former member of Holy Trinity Church and Choir. Shirley loved knitting and giving hats to family, friends and charitable organizations. She also volunteered her time to Habitat for Humanity. Even while living in Texas, she remained an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township, PA 15136, followed by a Mass at Archangel Gabriel Parish, Holy Trinity Church, Robinson Township.  Due to present health concerns, the date and time will be announced later.  Please view and sign the family’s online guestbook at www.PittsburghCremation.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Habitat for Humanity of Collin County at habitatcollincounty.org/donate.

Shirley was my aid at West Allegheny School. Shirley made each day wonderful and made each student she work with feel important. I will miss her as a friend and a mentor.
