Garnet I. Storey

Garnet I. (Knight) Storey, age 100, of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2023. She was born on August 15th, 1923 in Akron, OH and is the loving mother of Diana D. Anderson.  She was preceded in death by her siblings and her grandson Shawn Adams.

Beloved sister of Rose Warey, Emma Cates, Helen Schindledecker, Florence Sunkin, Robert Knight, Pierce W. Knight, Martin Knight, and Elizabeth Rosenkrantz. Garnet was blessed with 5 grandchildren, Cindy (Shawn), Todd (Julie) Anderson, Leslie (Jerry), Paul Anderson, and John (Jennifer) Anderson; also, 7 great-grandchildren, Briana Rothrock, Jennifer Adams, Eros and Kyra Glikis, Connor, Eammon, Braliegh Anderson, Aspen and Juniper Anderson; and great-great-grandson Garrett Rothrock.

Garnet loved quilting, gardening, word games, creative tapestry, canning, and entertaining family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday October 21, 2023 at 10:30am at Tallmadge Circle Church, Tallmadge, OH 44278. Interment will follow at Acacia Masonic Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Haven of Rest Akron, Ohio.
