Bernadette Lebakken, 67 of Shaler Township, formerly of Sharpsburg, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 16, 2023. Beautiful and loving wife of 47 years to Wayne Lebakken. She was born in Pittsburgh on December 30, 1955, the daughter of the late Bernard and Teresa “Tia” Persichetti. Devoted and cherished mother of Bradley (Victoria) Lebakken, Danielle (William) Wineberg, Dylan (Tayler) Lebakken and Gabriella (Conner) Haberman. Loving Nunny to her 7 “grandbaby angels” Ezekiel & Crosby Lebakken, Wesley & Preston Wineberg, Nora, Dylan Jr., & Theodore Lebakken. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Bernadette loved spending time with her family. “Family togetherness” as she called it. Her favorite place to be was the beach where she enjoyed taking walks with her husband and eating at her favorite restaurants. Bernadette was known for her strong relationship with the Lord, her servant heart, and generous spirit. She was an inspiration to many. She lives on in the lives of the family she has built. Bernadette was also a dedicated employee for over 20 years at Duquesne University. She cherished serving the School of Education.

I am so sorry to hear of Bernie's passing. Bernie was one of the most loving and kind people I have ever had the honor and privilege of knowing. She was a special friend and I look forward to seeing her again one day in heaven.
